Which groups conduct research at CiiM?

Four research groups from the HZI and MHH are currently directly affiliated with the CiiM:

  • Bioinformatics of Individualised Medicine, Prof. Dr. Yang Li
  • Immunology of Viral Hepatitis and Infections in Liver Cirrhosis, Prof. Dr. med. Markus Cornberg/Dr. Anke Kraft
  • Clinical Bioinformatics, Prof. Dr. Cheng-Jian Xu
  • Personalised Immunotherapy, Prof. Dr. Kathrin de la Rosa

In addition, other professorships at the MHH (some of which are joint appointments with the HZI) are dedicated to the CiiM:

  • Individualised Medicine for Viral Infections, Prof. Dr. Dr. Luka Cicin-Sain
  • Prof. Dr. Till Strowig

Other research groups at the CiiM faculty of HZI, MHH and TWINCORE are also dedicated to the research goals of the CiiM in their projects:

  • Bioinformatics in Infection Research, Prof. Dr. Alice McHardy
  • CAIMed Group 1b: AI and Bioinformatics, Xun Jiang, Maximilian Schieck and Sebastian Klein

Together, the groups are helping to make treatment tailored to individual infection patients a reality.
